Vision 2017: The New Sustainable

TateHindle Director Harish Ratna and John Edmondson, Associate Director at AECOM teamed up at Vision 2017 in Olympia London earlier this month to present A Sustainability Showcase on the new headquarters for the Institute of Physics, currently on site in Kings Cross.

Designed to be highly sustainable, the building features the use of bore hole cooling piles, natural and mixed mode ventilation systems, and rainwater harvesting with blue and green roofs. Harish and John reviewed these elements at the annual event for architects, designers, specifiers and their clients, and discussed the development of technologies used to push the boundaries of sustainable design.
