A former 1960s office building is being reimagined as 260 new homes, proving the potential of retrofit-led regeneration.

A recent site visit to Barnet House highlighted the progress being made on this significant adaptive reuse project.

By retaining and repurposing the existing structure, the scheme substantially reduces embodied carbon while delivering much-needed homes alongside new spaces for community and commercial activity, including:

• 260 new homes
• Commercial space
• Over 1,000sqm of public realm
• A new courtyard garden

The project demonstrates how thoughtful regeneration can balance sustainability, placemaking and deliverability, creating lasting value while making efficient use of existing buildings.
