Mike Jamieson chairs 2019 RIBA West London Awards jury

Design Director Mike Jamieson was appointed to the 2019 RIBA Regional Awards as chair of the West London jury.

From the initial briefing to site visits, and from shortlisting to selecting the winning projects, Mike led a rigorous process with a regional representative, lay assessor, and sustainability and conservation specialists, which gave a unique chance to see some of the capital’s best projects at close quarters. Projects ranged from one-off houses to volume housing, artists’ studios, showrooms and galleries to an abbey, department store, community hub and a boutique hotel.

47 winning projects from the London region were announced and celebrated at a ceremony held at RIBA in May, which was hosted by property journalist and TV presenter, Kunle Barker. Presenting RIBA Awards to the West London project winners, Mike described the opportunity to hear directly from the architects and clients involved as a highlight as well as an immense privilege.
