Crafting The Smithson

TateHindle has completed a comprehensive refurbishment of a 1970s office prominently located in Clerkenwell. The redevelopment has been rebranded The Smithson to celebrate the history of industrial trades and craftsmanship associated with the area.

The 7-storey building has been transformed by recladding a dated façade with large corten and concrete effect ceramic tiles and extending it at ground floor level to improve its presence on the street and create an impactful new entrance and double height reception.
