Expanding the world-famous Bray Film Studios in to a major new filming campus with nine soundstages, workshops, production support facilities, a rehearsal building, café and back lot.

Main moves

Originally established in 1951 as the home of Hammer Films, our design responds to Bray Film Studios’ rich heritage, building on 70 years of moving image making to create a world class location for globally-anticipated productions, and further cementing the UK’s position at the forefront of the international film industry. Set back from the River Thames near Windsor and surrounded by retained and new woodland, our proposal replaces temporary structures with a coherent, contextually-responsive design that will transform the efficiency, appearance, quality and permanence of the site. The design will bring minimal visual impact to the local area by being carefully integrated into the landscape. A series of partly timber-clad buildings nestle into the heart of the masterplan with rich planning radiating outwards.
