PassivHaus scheme for East Suffolk Council

Great news – our exemplar PassivHaus scheme for East Suffolk Council has got the green light, bringing forward a contemporary, sustainable new community of 61 new homes in Felixstowe, including 41 much needed council homes

The high-quality, energy-efficient homes are set around communal gardens in this flagship development which will kickstart the council’s sustainable housing programme.

The scheme will also re-use existing buildings and sports field on this former school site to deliver a community hall, bowls club, and cricket pitch and pavilion for the local community.

Green space is maximised across the site, and health and wellbeing promoted. Homes are equipped with renewable energy and green/brown roofs. And dwelling sizes are 5% larger than prescribed space standards to accommodate a dedicated area to work from home.

Congrats to the team on this benchmark scheme!
