Exploring the world of Lee Bul at the Hayward Gallery

A glorious summer evening was the perfect backdrop for TateHindle’s visit to the Southbank Centre to experience the archi-sci-dreamspace world of Lee Bul at the recently refurbished Hayward Gallery.

The South Korean artist’s first London exhibition explored her extensive investigation into the body and its relationship to architectural space. Drawing on science fiction, bio-engineering and visionary architecture, as well as Japanese anime and manga, Bul’s work includes performance and large-scale installations which are thought provoking and immersive in equal measure.
