As Design Director, Mike leads the internal design review process within the office, working with teams to ensure consistent quality and innovative, sustainable designs. Passionate about good design and its ability to enrich lives, his hands-on approach to projects ensures an inclusive dialogue between client and design team.
Mike has particular expertise in the design and delivery of commercial offices, residential and mixed-use developments, and in masterplanning. Recent projects include the multi-award-winning Aura in Great Kneighton, Beaulieu Park, Millbrook Park and New Fetter Place.
Mike is chair of the RIBA East London Architects’ Group, member of the RIBA London Regional Council and RIBA Housing Group, and a student mentor for the University of East London. He is regularly invited to assess awards – most recently for the Civic Trust and the RIBA (West London chair) – and is a member of the Essex Quality Design Review Panel.
