Wedlake Bell

Wedlake Bell, a leading London law firm, initially appointed TateHindle to analyse potential offices and later to provide architectural services for the fit-out of their selected building in Bedford Row. The move had to accommodate the 160+ law firm and provide expansion space for a further 40 people to meet their future growth.

TateHindle worked with the building’s landlord which allowed enabling works to be incorporated within the base build. This meant flexibility could be built on all floors, ultimately saving time and cost.

The ground and basement were left as "shell" by the landlord, with a void to the basement to accommodate an open stairway connecting the reception to the conference rooms.

The reception area includes oak wall panelling and creates a strong welcoming image. The lower ground and ground floors provide a single suite that includes a meeting room with seminar space for 60 people complete with café and catering facilities. The remaining floors provide open plan, single and shared cellular office space with support facilities.
