Statoil are the largest Norwegian extractors of heavy crude oil and gas with refineries and offices worldwide employing over 35,000 staff. The London operation was relocated from three buildings of smaller floor plates to two new floors of 25,000 sq ft in Paddington, accommodating the departments of dealers, IT, geotechnical, business development, finance and support operations for remote monitoring of rigs.
At ground floor, the 10,000 sq ft space incorporates large meeting rooms and a staff restaurant facility with space for presentations or staff events of up to 250 guests and capacity for growth to 300+ staff.
Quality finishes include a textured wall of Norwegian ‘Otta’ Stone, rough finished timber walls to the canteen core, dramatic lino cut flooring, and frameless double glazing for acoustics.
TateHindle continue to assist Statoil on further re-planning for expanding departments where the full team is retained to keep the original ethos and quality of work. The quality of the facility at the Paddington office has become a benchmark for new Statoil offices.
