The Crown Estate appointed TateHindle to design a high quality residential development within the East Marylebone Conservation Area. The design of the new building will provide sustainable and affordable apartments to help enhance the living accommodation for the residents of Westminster.
The development will provide 22 units in a range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, each designed to provide flexible living arrangements that meet Lifetime Homes standards.
The new building will occupy a similar footprint as the existing building and its form and appearance serve to preserve and enhance the character of the conservation area. The layout of the building has been arranged to maximise light and views and to exceed Westminster City Council’s requirements on energy conservation and exceed Building Regulations requirements by achieving a Level 3 rating for the Code for Sustainable Homes.
