The Cursitor Building | 38 Chancery Lane

We have just completed the comprehensive refurbishment of The Cursitor Building (38 Chancery Lane) in London’s Midtown for Aberdeen Asset Management.

The dated post-modern façades have been replaced with limestone cladding and clear glazing. The relocation of the office entrance onto the now pedestrianised Cursitor Street, creates a more generous arrival to the building and greater retail presence on Chancery Lane.

The cores have been relocated to create a clearer floor plate which will provide more flexibility for users. The increase in floor area has largely been created in a new sixth floor which replaces much of the original plant enclosure. Both the sixth and the fifth floors have deep west facing terraces with great views to the Courts to the south and Covent Garden to the west.

The scheme is highly sustainable, achieving a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
