Andrew Tate and Jim Hindle originally met in 1985, Andrew having worked for a number of years with Prudential and Jim with D Y Davies and then with development company London & Paris.

Both Andrew and Jim have a commitment to high quality design and firm commercial grounding as a result of their previous experience working for property developers.  Their acquired skills and track records in designing and constructing larger commercial projects provided the perfect combination to set up a design focused architectural firm with strong commercial acumen.

TateHindle was formed in 1992 and they were immediately offered significant projects despite the economic recession at the time. The early days were spent in a small design studio off Oxford Circus. The firm rapidly expanded and the addition of further Directors and Associates prompted a move to a larger and more design orientated studio in the historic Smithfield Market. The open space situated in the offices above the market, creates a unique architectural ambience allowing creative energy to flourish.

TateHindle work in many sectors including commercial, residential, retail, hotels and leisure.  The practice continues to steadily expand with a growing list of high quality clients.
